Why this you may be asking?

The word "censorship" gets tossed around a fair bit.
Given how emotionally charged this term is, and how frequently it gets used to stifle speech rather than protect it, I thought it'd be worth unpacking a bit.

I decided to do a bit of my own research about the definition of genocide and whether or not the use of this term is correct in reference to historical and present day acts towards Indigenous First Peoples. 

There is overwhelming evidence in federal government and other archival records documenting the Canadian government's intent and purposes in founding Indian Residential Schools across Canada - to "solve" the Indian problem in Canada.
