Having knowing Rose and Mel since the late forties it is wonderful that we can from time to time visit your beautiful island. Being retired does not allow me to consider a move to Lasqueti but if I were a lot younger that is where I would be. I have sailed to Lasqueti and anchored in Scottie Bay and sometimes but not often in Spring Bay. NW winds are not welcome when anchoring in Spring Bay.
You people are enjoying a life style many others will never witness or enjoy and while you are remote in a lot of ways and do not have the convenience of the more populated areas the other values to living on Lasqueti far outweigh any those latter issues.
We have met some wonderful people on Lasqueti and always wonder at the bonding witnessed during the summer months with so many families taking advantage of the beach and swimming in Spring Bay.
I could not resist authoring this short note and appreciate your web site and all its contents.
