ROAD CLOSURES

Please be advised:  False Bay Hill is closed as of 4 p.m. Wednesday to ALL VEHICLE TRAFFIC until further notice.

All driving conditions on the island are dangerous.  There is compact snow and ice on all road surfaces.  Stay home.  Don't drive if you can avoid it.

Ross and Richard are doing all they can to keep our roads open, but the weather is getting ahead of them...the hill at False Bay is extremely dangerous and will remain closed until it can be properly cleared of the compact ice.

If you have any concerns or questions, please call 250.333.8733, leave a message on the machine, and Ross will get back to you as soon as he can.  Please try to understand that everything that can be done is being done, and that Ross & Richard are working as hard as they can to open roads.

roads and the Giver event

For a multitude of wintery reasons, Jenny V has had to cancel tonight's event at the hall, "Giver".  Too icy on the roads, too cold in the hall, frozen water pipes and all that.

Stay home if you can, and stay safe....
