Last Resort General Meeting

Event Date:
Sunday, July 14, 2019 - 3:00pm - 5:00pm

The Last Resort Society is holding a General Meeting this Sunday July 14th, at 3pm at the Health Centre.

The directors are hoping for lots of community members to give feedback on a big building proposal — drawings for the proposed duplex can be viewed here:

If you can’t make it to the meeting, we would love to hear your thoughts and ideas about the duplex.  Stop by the health centre next Tuesday or Thursday afternoon from 12-4, or email healthcentre [at] lasqueti [dot] ca.  We are hoping for as much input as possible by July 30th.

On the agenda…

    •    Proposal for a new duplex elder cottage, with architectural drawings for viewing and discussion.  Community feedback strongly encouraged about all aspects of this proposal!  The funding has been donated and earmarked for a building project, and the board is hoping to make a decision supported by the community later this summer.

    •    The Board will report about health services and the nursing contract: what’s happening now, and what’s on the horizon?  What services would you like to see your health centre offer?

    •    The usual financial reports, volunteer opportunities, and time for your questions and comments.

For any questions, or to offer your ideas or volunteer time, email healthcentre [at] lasqueti [dot] ca, or call 250-333-8891.

Hope to see you there!
