OCP Review 2nd Forum Saturday, Feb 23 - Resource Stewardship

Event Date:
Saturday, February 23, 2019 - 12:00pm - 3:00pm

The LCA OCP Steering committee invites you to a discussion of existing and proposed OCP objectives related to resource stewardship the Saturday, Feb 23, from noon to 3 pm, at the Community Hall.

We will be clarifying our shared community objectives/interests concerning the island's resources - thinks like heritage and archeological resources, forests, parks and crown lands, fresh water supplies, foreshore and beach access, trails, wild foods and agricultural lands.

Coffee and tea will be provided, bring some nibblies to share if you feel like it, and/or your own lunch/snacks.

The goal of this process is to ensure that Lasqueti's Official Community Plan best reflects our shared interests and values.  These forums are being held to establish what those shared interests are.  These interests will be articlated as objectives in the OCP.  Once the objectives are clarified, they will inform the review of the OCP policies, which guide and limit our local governments.

Please join in the discussion on Saturday and/or submit your interests, concerns, comments and ideas to us via email at ocp [at] lasqueti [dot] ca or send written submissions through the post to the LCA OCP Steering Committee, General Delivery, Lasqueti V0R 2J0
