JFC Tax Requisition Public Meeting at the Hall

Event Date:
Saturday, July 28, 2018 - 1:30pm

The public information meeting regarding the proposed tax levy for the health centre will be held at the COMMUNITY HALL on Saturday, July 28th beginning at 1:30PM.

You can get more information about the tax levy at https://www.judithfishercentre.com/    Everyone is invited to attend.

You could also come out to FUNAction this coming Saturday, July 21st and meet many of the Directors of the Last Resort Society there. You can ask them about the tax levy; how the Society got here and tell them your thoughts about it.

At the last meeting of the Society’s Board of Directors, an Operations Committee was established. Peter Johnston, Bruce Grant, Shelley Garside and Sandy Morrison are the current members. They have been asked to review the operational costs of the Health Centre, and to identify possibilities for increased efficiency and cost effectiveness. They will report to the Board of Directors and present any suggestions which relate to that task. The committee will meet at the discretion of its members, or a minimum of once yearly. The Board of Directors may request reports from the Committee, for presentation to the General Membership and the public at large.
