Notice: Orange Flagging Tape on Several Roads

Hi everyone,

Many of you have likely noticed that orange flagging tape has appeared on several roads over the past week. Have no fear, these flags pose no threat! They are in fact owl survey stations, which we are using as we look for the rare and endangered Western Screech-owl, an owl known to occur on Lasqueti in the past. These flags will only be up temporarily, so we ask that you keep them where they are until they are removed by someone from our team.

As a side note, two of us just got back from having spent a week on Lasqueti. It was great to get to know many new people, and as always we appreciate the warmth of your community.
