RAR Meeting Saturday March 14, 11:30-3:00

Just a reminder of the community information meeting on the Riparian Area Regulations next  Saturday, March 14, 11:30-3:00 at the hall. The proposed bylaw and maps can be viewed online at http:www.islandstrust.bc.ca. Go to the Lasqueti section on the website and look for the section on Riparian Area Regulations. These Province-mandated regulations have significant impact on land use in areas deemed applicable. For this reason, I urge everyone to look at the maps, and if the designation on your property doesn't seem accurate, to contact our planner, Marnie Eggen, preferably prior to this meeting. Staff will present an overview of the Provincial regulations and our options for implementation, as well as a detailed look at the work done to date on the bylaw process. There will be plenty of opportunity for questions, too. The PAC will be providing coffee, tea, and snacks, and will also offer a lunch for $5-$6.
