The Last Resort is cranking up again...

The Service Building is the focus. In this building on the ground floor is the wood furnace which will heat the health center and various other buildings as well as  the battery system, the inverters, meters, backup generators, and whathaveyou. The second floor is for an office for LIAS, and storage. The roof is covered with some 15 KW of solar panels. An important and necessary addition to the site.

The foundations are poured and stripped. We will be ordering the necessary materials this coming week, and are seeking a framing crew to get this building up fairly quickly.  We have received a couple grants for this stage, and the roof needs to be on and the panels installed before the end of March. Sound like fun? Up yer alley? Call Doane or Karl to volunteer. As usual the goodie crew will ensure there isn't a shortage of food and goodies.

The plywood flooring for the second floor will be prepainted inside the Health Center building so there's no stopping to wait for paint to dry. If you can't frame can you paint plywood with a roller? We need you.
