report of ferry running

I got a phone call from Mel Backs just after 2:30 saying that the ferry is running, and would be making the 2:30 run, and then the 4 o'clock and 5:30 runs today.

I was unable to reach the ferry cell number to confirm this, and the ferry house message now says that runs today have been cancelled, and the next scheduled trip will be provided on the message as soon as possible.

If you need to go over, or get home, 4 and 5:30 might be good trips to try and catch.

Elgin emailed at 2:44, when I asked him if the ferry was making the 2:30 run:

"No. I expect we will be running by 17:00 but I will keep you informed."

Mel tells me that Al phoned him to tell him it was running. I have no idea if Al and Elgin are talking to each other or not. God knows which one, if either, is correct.
