From the Fire Chief

I would like to inform the Lasqueti community that I will be retiring as Fire Chief as of June 30, 2013.

Since 2003, I have had the honour of serving the Island as Fire Chief.  The support I’ve received from the department membership, the public and the Powell River Regional District has made it possible for me for me to fill this role.  I had initially intended to commit to the position for five years, and now feel it is the right time for me to move along.

I encourage all interested community members to contact our Regional District representative, Merrick Anderson, to discuss the available position.
