Advisory Planning Commission - request for Expressions of Interest

Here is the official notice.  If you are interested in serving on the Advisory Planning Commission (APC), you can contact Linda directly, or send an email to Susan and/or me. If you'd like more information, contact one of us, or Linda.

The APC has been extremely helpful to the Lasqueti Trust Committee, by reflecting and representing the community, and by undertaking special tasks and projects requested of it. The main scheduled task that the APC will be asked to lead is to work with community members on developing a Master Plan for the False Bay area, including especially recommending solutions to the parking situation there.

ADVISORY PLANNING COMMISSSION APPOINTMENTS

EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST

The Lasqueti Island Local Trust Committee is requesting expressions of interest for up to nine positions on the Advisory Planning Commission. The current Advisory Planning Commission terms have expired. The new term will run from March 15, 2012 and end March 15, 2014. As required by the Local Government Act and the Lasqueti Island Local Trust Committee Advisory Planning Commission Bylaw, appointees must be electors within the Lasqueti Island Local Trust Area.

The Advisory Planning Commission’s advice is sought on land use matters, community planning, or proposed bylaws and permits that are referred to it by the Local Trust Committee.
