Lasqueti spirit festival

Event Date:
Saturday, February 26, 2011

Come celebrate the Spirit Festival with Lasqueti’s own ‘Gumboot Stomp”
Saturday February 26th at 4pm we’ll gather at the Teapot House.
Wear your gumboots and be ready to stomp down Main Road with the Bolting
Brassica Marching Band. We’ll unveil the new Lasqueti murals enroute down
Main Road before they move to their permanent homes. Original music, poetry
and dance celebrate the spirit of community. Come prepared for ‘whatever the
weather’ - the stomp runs rain or shine!
Hot soups and treats by the Last Resort at the Arts Centre @ 5pm.
Drumming circle followed by a community jam around the bonfire round out the
day, so bring your instruments.
See you there!
The Lasqueti Island Arts Council wishes to acknowledge the Province of
British Columbia and the Assembly of BC Arts Councils for their generous
support.
