We are only a few days a way from a great celebration of a bountiful harvest and we can't wait to see you. Please join the gathering and bring the results of your hard summer of work. Big veggies, weird veggies, apples of all varieties and potatoes too. Let's see what you have grown on the home stead. All vegetables will be boxed and auctioned off at the end of the day with the proceeds going to the food bank. Did last year's wine tasting inspire you? Are you bringing a bottle for this years tasting? Maybe you would like to be a taster. If so, bring one non perishable food item to donate to the food bank and a tasting you shall have. Be sure to come with an empty belly as the savoury sweet bake table will be full of goodies to whet your appetite. The LCA is preparing a delicious dinner of "localvore"to satisfy your needs. All meat, greens potatoes and bread for dinner will be from right here on the Island. Mmm mmm mmm. What would the fair be without a raffle. After months on display, the beautiful blue quilt will be raffled off in the afternoon followed by the tug of war and vegetable auction. So come and tour the hall, witness the sheep to shawl, take in Dana's archeology display, build a scarecrow, make a vegetable print or just sit back and enjoy a beer to the tunes of our local musicians. Take it easy in the afternoon and get ready to dance the night away to the great sounds the Undertones. Can't wait to see you!
