Gearing detail for Ingo's pedal-powered grinder / sharpener

  • The sharpener is driven by some old bike chains that I put together.
  • I drilled and bolted abike chainring on the fly wheel then secured arear bike cog on the sharpening shaft to drive it with the bike chain.
  • What I really like about this is bike sharpener that I can control the speed for sharpening my carving tools.especaily my small knives,no risk of damage to the tools or over heating,better than machine driven and alot faster by hand.
