Announcements always show up on the "What's News" listings when they are posted.
Announcements with a date (events) will also show up on the community Calendar and, as the date approaches, on the "Upcoming Events" listings.
Don't use the Message Board to post an announcement - go to "Post to Website... News or Event" instead!
Oh yeah, and your announcement (or news or event or whatever) can have a file attachment if you like AND comments, so people can ask quetions and have a small discussion about the posting.

AURELE GIRARD PASSED AWAY!?
HI,we are old friends of Aurele Girard,and were very sad to hear of his passing-we JUST heard,& as we've been out of BC for quite a few years,we lost contact with Aurele..He was QUITE the character & the world has been a quieter place without his laugh!We will be out to BC & the Island{would love to get out to Lasqueti!}this summer,& are planning on getting a plaque made for Aurele.When we spoke to our mutual friend,they weren't sure on the exact date of Aureles passing-all they knew was he passed away in a hospice in Victoria,in March/2007.Could you please send us the exact date of his passing if you know,& then we can proceed with having the plaque made & inscribed?I guess the people that the Hospice contacted were out of the country at the time,& they were very confused as to why THEY were contacted & not a CLOSER friend..anyway,we hope to hear from you soon with any info{and memories!?}you can share,thankyou,the friends of Aurele in Alberta!
