Milbert's Tortoiseshell (Aglais or Nymphalis milberti)

Dark brown inner half of wing with two orange blotches on the "shoulders", outer half of wing banded in pale yellow and orange. Eggs laid on nettle, adults feed on early spring flowers and dandelion and other daisy-family flowers in the summer.
