Pine White (Neophasia menapia)

Medium-sized milk-white butterfly with heavy black markings on tips and trailing edge of forewings, black markings on edge and sometimes veins of hindwing. On the wing mostly in July and August. Larvae on fir, pine, and hemlock. Nectars on many daisy-family plants, including thistle.
