NOLS application

Knowing the community interest in the NOLS Crown Lease application, I want to provide the following information from Islands Trust staff:

The deadline for agenda correspondence is this Friday, September 26, before noon.

However per the correspondence policy, correspondence for crown referrals aren’t included on the agenda, so in this instance staff have shared it all with the LTC, and it will be all forwarded to the referral agency who decides on the crown application.

In addition, the added challenge with an overwhelming number of comments is that they would all need to be redacted, would require a fair bit of administrative time, and becomes difficult for staff to manage along with the agenda deadline. 

I would like to re-iterate to community members that comments on crown referral should be sent to the crown agency for this application as the decision makers. The LTC is doing their best to accommodate as much within their process as possible, by forwarding all the comments over to the agency.
