March's Our Isle & Times
Spring is Springing and with it comes our regular monthly edition only a week after our Special Edition!
The Public Hearing about CityWest's fibre optic cable continues to be the top story.
The Hearing continues tomorrow/Thursday @ 1pm at the Judith Fisher Centre. If approved, our decades-long moat keeping the other side from invading Lasqueti will be breached. If it is delayed or denied, we can finally have a calm, cool and collected conversation about whether we want more high speed Internet on our island and if so, how we will bring it here. Much (but not all, since a lot of it is in our Special Edition) of the research is summarized on the Front Page. It is highly recommended to review it before the start of the Hearing tomorrow.
Surprisingly, there is more going on than just a life-or-death fight against the invasion of our island:
An Oscar may soon be awarded to a documentary that literally conceals and twists known facts...Michelle continues to alert us to the real-life fall-out of this reel fallacy (her own documentary is linked below).
Pseudo-science is outed for what it is, using scientific methodology, thanks to Paul's research.
Gord gets us growing early this year with detailed plans to grow gorgeous greens.
Brian points out the socialist hypocrisy in Victoria...thankfully someone is calling them out!
We also share lots of tips to eRATicate them once and for all...Lasquetian tips, so you know they work!
And, as always, there's humour and history throughout to keep it fun and relevant.
Below are the links that provide receipts for our reporting...with a new format to make it even easier to follow up your read:
