Lasqueti Island Local Trust Committee PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE Proposed Bylaw No. 104 PLRZ20240104 Connected Coast 

The Lasqueti Island Local Trust Committee invites the public to attend a Public Hearing beginning at 11:30 am, Monday, February 10, 2025, Judith Fisher Centre, #1 China Cloud Bay Road, Lasqueti Island, to hear your views regarding Proposed Bylaw No. 104.

• 11:15 AM – Community Information Meeting will be held before the Public Hearing for you to learn more about the bylaws and to ask questions 

• 11:30 AM – Public Hearing What is Bylaw No. 104 about? The bylaw amendments to the Lasqueti Island Land Use Bylaw (LUB) include: 

• Permitting fibre-optic cable telecommunication public service utility use in the location of a proposed fibre optic cable which will come from Vancouver Island, extend through False Bay, and terminate at the end of Weldon Boat Ramp Rd.

How Do I Get More Information? Copies of the proposed bylaw, the Public Hearing Binder and other information is available online from January 27, 2025 to February 9, 2025 at the link  below.

NO WRITTEN OR ORAL REPRESENTATIONS WILL BE RECEIVED BY THE LASQUETI ISLAND LOCAL TRUST COMMITTEE, OR ITS MEMBERS, AFTER THE CONCLUSION OF THE PUBLIC HEARING.
