Spring Bay Races- Lasqueti Yacht Club

Event Date:
Thursday, July 15, 2021 - 3:00pm

COME ONE, COME ALL
It’s that time again, after a year off, The Lasqueti Yacht Club, Spring Bay Races are back on.

Save the date Thursday July 15Th. Starting around 3 PM.

Same format this year: 3 races

SINGLE KAYAK - double loop. Sharon will be trying to run down Tony this year to try and regain her title.

KAYAK RELAY - Team of 2 persons switching out using the same kayak (this is where the most shore line, mayhem and fun is to be had for the spectators)

STAND UP PADDLE BOARD - out and around Candy Bear on her mooring. (just in case someone wants to start practising.)  Paddle boarding is much harder when you want to go really fast!

Prizes in 2 category’s:
Kids under 15, and then every one else.

Remember this is a fun event and not to be taken too seriously, (unless you are Sharon and Tony, then it is all on the line).

This is a great spectator event, ( you might get to see one of your friends get very wet), lots of room all along Spring Bay and it is absolutely free for the spectators, (public beach after all).

As always Polish Sausage on a Bun will be available for purchase. Please bring your own liquid refreshments. Stay hydrated out there.

Entry fees for the races are:
Yacht Club Members $2. per race or  three races for $5.
Non members $4. per race or $10. for all three.

All Kids under 15, $1. Per race

ALL PARTICIPANTS in the event must WEAR a PFD or as we used to call them in the olden days, life jackets.

Just in case you missed the date:
Thursday July 15Th.
Starting around 3 PM.
Weather permitting.
