Wetlands Walk and Talk

Event Date:
Saturday, November 16, 2019 - 4:00pm - 6:00pm

Join Barb Beasley and LINC to learn about amphibians and what we can do to help them (and us)!

Come share a walk with a very engaging woman from Ucululet who will be here Sat Nov 16th. We'll meet at 1:00 at the Arts Centre, and then ride share to the wetlands for a walk.

Barb is a coastal ecologist, and founder of the Association of Wetland Stewards for Clayoquot and Barkley Sounds, a non-profit organization that promotes habitat stewardship for amphibians, and author of COSEWIC status reports and management plans for the Northern Red-legged Frog and Wandering Salamander.
Learn about the diversity of amphibians in coastal B.C., why they are important for ourselves and the planet & what’s being done to help them survive.

A presentation at 4:00 at the Arts Centre will focus on these topics. We hope you will come! Please bring membership to LINC - sliding scale $5-20 if you haven't already paid your membership for 2019.
