Fall Fair 2019: Sept 7
2019 FALL FAIR
On Saturday September 7th, come celebrate the change of season with your community at the Hall.
Gates open at 1pm.
If you’re inclined, set up a display table to showcase what you grew and learned in your garden or other endeavors. Vendors are welcome. Please sign up with Marie-Ange Fall (8595) or JennyV (8601) so we can make space for you.
Hilary is setting up a tomato tasting table so bring your favourite varieties to add to the mix. Also bring any ferments that you want to share and/or talk about.
Kids games, a relay race (create your best four person team for wood chopping, wheelbarrowing, full gerry-can handling, gumboot running, recycling and hugging) as well as the legendary North vs South End tug of war.
There will also be judged competitions for jam, salsa and bread and wine, so bring your BEST.
All musicians are welcome to bring their instruments to jam out during the day.
If you’re hungry during the day, enjoy homemade soup or corn on the cob. Dinner will be local spit-roast pork and lamb, vegetarian chili, vegetables and apple crisp for dessert.
After dinner the Ryder Bachman band will play “Greasy, Bluesy, Loosey-Goosey, Skankin'-Reggae, Country-Fried, Funky, Rockin', RnBin', Blue-Eyed Soul!!” They come with a warning to BRING YER DANCIN' SHOES.
The Fall Fair is the annual Fundraiser for the Community Hall, organized and run entirely by VOLUNTEERS. At any time during the day, please consider jumping into the kitchen to do some dishes and to help with clean up on Sunday morning.
If you want to help create this super fun event, please contact Andrew Fall (8595) or JennyV.
