Welcome for Sea Level Rise workshop

Huy steep q'u  - Thank you everyone for coming to this important workshop.   We would like to begin by acknowledging that the land on which we gather is within the traditional territory of the Coast Salish peoples of K’omoks, Qualicum, Shíshálh (Sechelt), Snaw-naw-as (Nanoose), and Tla’amin (Sliammon) on whose lands and waters the Islands Trust and Xwe7ítay/Sxwe7ítay (Lasqueti) Island is located.  We acknowledge the historical relationship to the land, culture, and spirit of this place that continues to this day.

The workshop is Thursday noon to 3pm at the Health Centre. Everyone welcome.
