Question 1 from David & Laura re: Sister's Islets Weather Station

Below is a response to one of 6 questions posed by David and Laura Slik on the email list on Oct 7, 2018.

Question 1. If elected, what will you do to help convince Environment Canada to repair the Sisters Islets weather station ASAP?

Response: The main action that the Regional District can do is lobby Environment Canada. A letter that explains how the weather station provides information that is critical to boater safety could be endorsed by the Regional Board and sent to Environment Canada.

We can all also send individual emails and letters, or make phone calls. I sent an email to: ec [dot] enviroinfo [dot] ec [at] canada [dot] ca

The following site also allows email to be sent, and has a lettermail address and fax number: https://weather.gc.ca/mainmenu/contact_us_e.html

You could also write an email to our MP Gord Johns at: gord [dot] johns [at] parl [dot] gc [dot] ca
