correction to my no recycling on Lasqueti for quite a while posting

The situation is not as I thought and said. Here's what I now know.

Robyn has not taken any plastic garbage to the dump. He has delivered some bales to a private individual, but this will not be continued.

There are some bales of plastic at the recycling centre. The plan is that they will be opened and re-sorted and re-baled, and then shipped to a private recycling facility, hopefully with only minimal amounts going to the dump. The recycling centre (but not the free store) will be temporarily closed, presumably until the facilities are upgraded as described.

It's always safe to take your household recyclables to Vancouver Island, to the Church Road transfer station (860 Church Rd, 8am - 5pm daily except stat holidays), the recycling centre by Buckerfields (Parksville Bottle & Recycling, 611A Alberni Highway, daily except stat holidays 8am - 6pm) or to Qualicum Bottle & Recycling, Unit 4-141 4th Avenue, Mon - Sat 9am - 5pm).

These will be our recycling only options for a while at least, and we do bring almost all the stuff we recycle from there.
