Writing Workshop continues Saturday! (Camino)

Hi everyone!

A quick post to let everyone know that the writers workshop called " W.O.L.F." ( Writers Of Lasqueti Island & Friends )  is continuing today, November 18th at 2 - 4 p.m. at Provisions in the back near the book store. It will be happening throughout the winter on the 1st and 3rd Saturday of each month. Participants will be encouraged to take turns leading the workshop with a focus on spending the first half or so writing and then take turns reading work they want to share.
It will have a very open format and is designed to encourage islanders to gather together to hone their craft, whether for fun or a more serious project.
The concept is based on encouraging folks to pool their creativity with each other, have more interaction during the dark months of winter and make shared writing and reading a more regular occurrence in the community. Some writings may be shared here online or displayed in the cafe if people are comfortable with that. We plan on making it a year round event and if attendance grows it will be held at the Arts Center or Community Hall.

I'm very excited to see what kind of words, poems, songs and stories will come from this experiment! Complimentary refreshments will be served to attendees, the workshop is free and everyone is welcome! If you have any questions please call me at 250-333-8558.
