Quirky and captivating, songwriter and scientist Sarah Beatty sounds a bit like Dusty Springfield coming off a science bender. With her new album Bandit Queen reaching #1 in Canada’s National Roots Charts and her debut album Black Gramophone having been nominated for a Hamilton Music Award, Sarah's got a knack for approaching complicated topics with warmth and wit.

She’s shared stages with Bruce Cockburn and has opened for Ron Sexsmith, Carolyn Mark, and toured with 14-piece brass hop hybrid, My Son The Hurricane. She has played major Canadian festivals such as Summerfolk and Mariposa and listening venues such as The Bluebird Café in Nashville, TN and Ani Difranco’s Babeville in Buffalo, NY.
