No Ferry Thurs. Sept. 4

IMPORTANT FERRY NOTICE
No ferry service Thursday, September 4.

The ferry is scheduled to be in Vancouver on Tuesday, September 2/08 for some minor repairs and will be staying for both Wednesday and Thursday to have the engines either repaired or replaced before the fall/winter storms are upon us. Regular service will resume on Friday, September 5 from False Bay at 8:00am.

Note from Peter:

I wouldn't schedule a very important Vancouver Island appointment for Friday, as it is possible that extra work will need to be done, or it will take more time. I imagine that some people will need to go over and will be looking for water taxis, and probably looking to share them. I'm happy to send out this information.

Lasqueti Ferry

The ferry runs from French Creek Harbour on Vancouver Island to False Bay on Lasqueti Island. Pay parking is available at the marina. The trip takes from 50 minutes to over an hour (in rough waters).   Passengers and freight only - no cars!
