Fire Safety - Fire Hazard Rating-

An active and destructive 2016 fire season is underway elsewhere within the Province.  Please stay alert to the "Fire Hazard Rating" as it applies to our local area.  Regular adjustments to the  "Fire Hazard Rating" board at the North End Fire Hall and the "Fire Safety" box on the Lasqueti.ca opening page are the local tools available that provide easy and ready access to this critical information for locals and visitors alike.  I encourage the community at large to continue  exercising the active and demonstratively effective roll taken in past years to encourage our peers, visitors and new residents alike to join us and think "Fire Smart".  Keep in mind when speaking to the uninformed and or uninitiated it is important to mention the obvious.

example -(a) - as the Fire Hazard increases our awareness and alert level must also increase.                      - (b) - know how to call the Lasqueti Volunteer Fire Department                                                             -(c) - in case of fire, alerting our Fire Department and ensuring your personal safety are the first priorities.
