Trustee notes
I missed the early deadline for the March Isle & Times, so here are the notes I would have had in the paper.
Susan has touched on the recent RAR report. Staff are scheduling a Community Information Meeting and Public Hearing on RAR, and we will let the public know the date as soon as possible.
With regard to the possible divestiture of False Bay dock, I still believe it is in our best interest to keep our dock in the hands of Transport Canada, although it certainly makes sense to explore other options.
The rezoning application for KGL to enable the moving of the gas pumps has been referred to the APC, and they will be meeting Thursday, March 3, 6:30 af the Arts Centre to consider it. APC meetings are open to the public if you wish to attend.
The Ageing at Home project has been moved to our Top Priorities list, and will get underway later this spring. The project will focus on identifying the non-medical needs of seniors in our community, and finding ways to meet them, in order to enable seniors to live in their homes longer.
Our next meeting will be Monday, March 14th, at the Art Centre. Please attend if you can, and as always, please feel free to contact your Trustees with your comments, concerns, or questions.
