Lasqueti Day Parade, August 29

This is your reminder for the Lasqueti Day Parade and Silly Boat Race, Saturday August 29. Parade muster is at noon at T-pot corner. Bring your float, cool rides, bikes, feet, noise makers, costumes, or what have you! We will proceed from T-pot to False Bay, vehicles turning onto Weldon road to keep downtown congestion minimized.

The Silly Boat Race will start at 2 at the boat ramp, circle designated buoys, and finish at the beach adjacent to the dock and Provisions. Exciting prizes for top 3 finishers, and more!

In case you're feeling unprepared, remember this is Lasqueti! Your last minute float or costumes will be appreciated. Word has it that last year's First Place finisher in the Silly Boat Race - "Plastic Fantastic" was built in 20 minutes on the morning of the race, so you clearly have plenty of time to build your award winning water craft!

Live music jam on the hotel deck from 4-8. Bring your instrument and join in!
