Fire Hazard Rating - MODERATE - August, 15/ 2015

Currently, High Risk Forest Activities require a 2 hour fire watch after work has shut down for the day.  Please monitor the hazard board daily as the type of conditions we are experiencing at this time are presenting us with  yo-yo  ratings.  While the hazard rating has been down graded to Moderate the ground water level has not been altered so unless rain continues to fall expect the hazard rating to climb within a few days.  All burning restrictions remain in effect.

Thanks for your continued support/co-operation with both burning and high risk activities restrictions.  Prevention and early detection provide us with our best opportunities to get through this long and  demanding fire season without experiencing the serious consequences residents of other areas within the province are suffering.
