Fire Hazard Rating - Reduced to- HIGH-

Our local hazard rating has been reduced to  -HIGH- .  High Risk Activities are still restricted.  If we continue to get showers as the weather forecast projects our rating will likely drop to moderate.  If we don't receive enough additional moisture to drop the rating to moderate and the rating remains at high for 3 days Early Shift Operations are allowable if the guidelines for early shift operations are followed.  When a local hazard rating of moderate exists restrictions on high risk activities will be lifted.   Please ensure that if you intend to start a chainsaw or conduct any other type of high risk activity you have a clear understanding of your personal responsibilities as outlined in the wildfire regulations.  Some individuals (few) have run a chainsaw for some reason after the restriction on high risk activities disallowed their use.  This action has caused legitimate concern for those that hear a chainsaw running somewhere.  If you think the rules don't apply to you or the activity you are undertaking is exempt check your opinion with an authority.  Please consider how feeding  neighbor(s) anxiety may affect your ongoing relationship.
