Ful Bull with Handle Workshop

Bull kelp has become a favorite material for most of us to weave with.  It's beautiful and ugly at the same time.  Every piece is uniquely shaped and colored, and no two baskets turn out the same.  It's a little challenging to work with by itself because you have to work with it wet so it's pliable enough to weave with, but that also makes it a little floppy.  This basket will be approximately 10 " x 10" x 4 to 5 " high.  We'll be putting a Handel on it so bring  a special piece of wood, or some kinky honeysuckle  vine if you'd like.  If not I have some kinky pieces of kelp we can use.  I always like to turn a walk in the bush into a hunt for something that I can weave into a basket.  Please also bring scissors, tape measure, oyster knife, small soaker bucket and something to share for a pot luck lunch.
