Bill C51

As many may know, today, Saturday was a national day of protest against Bill C51. Former Lasquetian Janet MacIntyre sent me some info from Castlegar, where she is joining others to protest this Bill which, yes fortunately, may bring Harper to his knees! Will other parties stand up and say no? So far, it seems that except for the Greens, other parties are backing into closets, fearful that people will see them as weak-kneed and all the other pejorative terms that military leaders have used for generations to silence compassionate, human actions, so that violence can be perpetrated against innocent people.  

 

I am sharing a couple of files, two with the details on this atrocious bill, and one a wonderfully inspiring letter to remind us to have courage. While we are busy with important local issues like 911, there are still other concerns which will impact us and others in a huge way, including the coal transport down the Sabine, and this current Bill C51. Please have courage and take action in whatever way works for you, to object to this bill wholeheartedly! Contact your party leaders of all stripes, our current MP, or take other actions. Perhaps you will take some solace in knowing that there are thousands, if not millions, of people out there who share our concerns. See the attached files for further info.
