As part of Fire Prevention Week, we will be posting a daily fire safety message.  Today’s topic is emergency numbers. 

On Lasqueti the telephone number to report a fire is 250-954-4432.

When you call this number, you will hear a recorded message that directs you to follow these steps;

1.       Enter your phone number, adding *555 on the end

Example 333-8711*555

2.       Hang up

3.       Wait by the phone, our dispatcher will call you back to gather information.

ALWAYS find a safe place to make the call for help.  Remember to WAIT by the phone.
