Fall Fair reminder: Saturday starting at 2

Just a reminder about the Fall Fair this Saturday (Sept 20). Starts at 2 pm. Displays, competitions, activities during the day until about 6. Corn, baked goods and soups available during the day. Dinner 6:30 will feature a local roast pig and lamb plus many dishes created by some wonderful island chefs.  Followed by highland dance music with Celtic Chaos.

This is a fund raiser for the community association.

Still seeking a few more volunteers, mainly to offer an hour of time at the front entrance and to help when dinner is being served. Contact Andrew Fall, Jenny or Jaylene. We promise not to work you too hard...

Hopefully there are lots of bakers, wine makers, pie masters and salsa chefs getting ready for the food competitions ... and arms practicing their hammering and wood chopping skills.

Lasqueti Community Association

The LCA was established in 1971 and incorporated as a charitable organization in 1978.   The purpose of the organization is simple: “to promote community development.” An annual general meeting is held in the spring, usually early May. Anyone who either owns property on Lasqueti or has lived here for a minimum of six months may join.
