Critical time for carrots and beets!  Despite the rain, your roots are longing for moisture. Water deep and long.  Not frequently.  Makes for better bunches.

Don't ignore the asparagus.  Just because you have finished your feed doesn't mean they have.  A good dose of nitrogen now will increase the bounty next spring.

Excess Radishes? How about a Radish Relish?

1/2 bunch fresh cilantro

5 radishes

1 spring onion sliced finely

2 Tbsp honey

2 Tbsp white cider vinegar

1/2 jalapeno minced

salt and pepper to taste.

Pluck cilantro leaves from stem and place in bowl.  Do not puree or chop, it will bitter the flavour.  Add finely diced radishes and sliced onion.

In separate bowl combine honey, cider and minced japaleno.  Season to taste with S and P and toss into radish mixture.  An easy dish for potlucks.
