Brief report on Community Information Meeting

Just over 40 people attended the Community Information Meeting at the hall Saturday. Changes to our Official Community Plan were discussed for nearly 3 1/2 hours, and many ideas were expressed, especially on the main topics for the meeting: density issues and B&Bs.

I want to thank everyone who took the time and energy to attend and participate in the meeting, and also everyone who contributes their views in other ways. Community discussion and exchange help us to understand each other and work toward community agreement.

Notes on people's comments were taken, and they will be included in the minutes of the meeting, which will be posted before long.

If anyone has thoughts or ideas they'd like to contribute to the discussion, whether or not they were at the meeting, they are invited to put them on the record by writing them down and sending them to us.
