Texada Coal Proposal update - cracks begin to appear in BC Liberals

Update from Donald on St. Patrick's Day:

A crack is beginning to appear....

The BC Liberals have been supporting this proposal either by actively doing nothing, like the Minister of the Environment, or by active encouragement like the Minister of Mines.

But now, the three government MLAs in areas close to the Fraser Surrey Docks are feeling the heat, and calling for a better examination of health impacts.

It seems to me that the BC Liberal MLA for Parksville Qualicum should be asked to join this letter with a concern for health impacts at the Texada Island end of the proposal.  If she won't join her colleagues calling for a more accountable and transparent health review, then perhaps she can explain why she does not feel that this is necessary for HER constituents.
You can send Michelle Stilwell MLA a note about this, and the need for a formal Health Impact Assessment at:

michellestilwellmla.ca

Please let me know if you do this, so we can get a sense of how much pressure we are able to apply, and what we can come up with to follow-up that pressure.

Thanks everybody,
Donald
