Expressions of interest for Advisory Planning Commission requested by February 14

ADVISORY PLANNING COMMISSION APPOINTMENT

The Lasqueti Island Local Trust Committee is requesting expressions of interest for up to nine positions on the Advisory Planning Commission. The current terms of appointment will expire on March 1, 2014.. This new terms will only be for a period of ONE (1) year until March 1, 2015. As required by the Local Government Act and the Lasqueti Island Local Trust Committee Advisory Planning Commission Bylaw, appointees must be electors within the Lasqueti Island Local Trust Area.

The Advisory Planning Commission’s advice is sought on land use matters referred to it by the Lasqueti Island Local Trust Committee. Advisory Planning Commission members meet as needed, and it is anticipated that there will be a need in 2014 for the Advisory Planning Commission to meet a few times to give the Local Trust Committee recommendations about their project work including the False Bay Master Plan and Riparian Areas Regulations.
