In the early 1900's the legendary west coast settler Cougar Annie homesteaded a rainforest bog in Clayquot Sound, opened a remote post office there, and trapped over 70 cougars, outliving 4 husbands in the process.
"Pick of the Fringe" actress/singer Katrina Kadoski stars in this multimedia one-woman show about the legendary pioneer. Kat lived in Clayquot Sound for 3 years caretaking Cougar Annie's garden and immersing herself in the folklore surrounding her.
Drawing upon many sources, including Annie's family, Cougar Annie Tales uses dramatic narrative, images, letters, and original compositions to celebrate the unconventional life of one of BC's most colourful characters.
"Kadoski is a confident performer who has created a well-polished cultural addition to Vancouver Island's heritage."
