ferry service interruption

The ferry was unable to do its 5:30 run Wednesday because of a steering problem. They worked on it, and hoped to make a run at 6:30 today (Thursday), but that run did not happen. The earliest possible run will be at 9:45, but maybe not even then. Apparently there is a major steering problem, which they are working to fix.

Lasqueti Ferry

The ferry runs from French Creek Harbour on Vancouver Island to False Bay on Lasqueti Island. Pay parking is available at the marina. The trip takes from 50 minutes to over an hour (in rough waters).   Passengers and freight only - no cars!
