The comments on the Cheekye-Dunsmuir transmission line confrontation with BC Hydro were completely wrong:

"BC Hydro engineers were about to connect to the grid to Texada Island the offer was put to Lasquetians to be on the electricity grid as well."

BC Hydro did NOT offer power to Lasqueti (substation would cost $1M). They planned to clear-cut the length of Lasqueti for the transmission line, to avoid having to splice the sub-sea cable. In the end, we convinced them to go direct from Texada to Vancouver Island, using a spliced cable.
