Logo Contest

A contest you say?  

Yes! 

The Last Resort Society is seeking submissions for an on island designed logo for the soon to be built Judith Fisher Centre.   What is the Judith Fisher Centre you say?

This centre will be a multi use building that will provide a permanent location for our nurse and provide space for other health care practitioners on Lasqueti.  It will also have a meeting room and respite space.  This small living space will be for anyone on the island recovering from, illness, injury, sickness or hospital stay who cannot function in their own home for a temporary period.

As you well know The Last Resort Society has been working for many years towards this goal.  And now with the property in place and the clearing done we are just about ready to build.  With that, we need a logo that defines our presence.  

We asked ourselves.  Why source a logo off island when we have so many talented artists right here?  

Indeed we cannot provide the winner with valuable cash prizes but we can offer a unique and abundant reward for the chosen winner, as well as immortalizing them as the artist .

The deadline is May 1 2012.
