¿Qué Bolá? Magic comes to Lasqueti Island!
Saturday, October 16th at 7:30 pm.
¿Qué Bolá? is a uniquely Cuban expression used when greeting people meaning,
"What's up?" or "What's happening?". With dazzling illusions, sparkling magic
and humour that will have the whole family gasping in amazement and laughing at
the same time, the ¿Qué Bolá? Magic Show is definitely "what's happening" at the
Community Hall on October 16th.
Originally from Cuba, Ariel Morales has been entertaining audiences for over 15
years, and true to his heritage, this show joyously celebrates the essence of
Cuba through its rhythms and humour. Rochelle Allison is an award winning
assistant, who brings sparkle to the act, dancing in & out of Ariel's illusions
and spreading some of her own magic dust. Together, they have been playing to
packed houses from Germany to Mexico and are thrilled to have this opportunity
to present their show at the Lasqueti Community Hall.
This is a show for all ages. As one reviewer said, "¿Qué Bolá? Magic has
plenty of audience participation and complete enjoyment for everyone from tots
to teens to great-grandmas."
As an added bonus for those stricken by the magic bug, Ariel and Rochelle are
offering a workshop in impromptu magic on Sunday, November 17th, from noon to 2
pm. Please call for more details - Heather at 8545 or Jenny V. at 8601.
