LASQUETI SATURDAY MARKET BEGINS JUNE 5

Lasqueti Market will begin Saturday, June 5 at the Legion lot, from 10 til 1 (later if there are people still there). There will be a full range of seasonal and greenhouse-grown produce, as well as baking, crafts, and other goods and services for sale, including treats and beverages.

All Lasquetians are welcome to exhibit or sell locally produced foods, crafts, artwork and other goods and services. A small fee goes to the market association.

The market group hopes to have our new tarps up for the first market. We also think that it would be good to have more (or another) picnic tables. The new large beautiful one at False Bay is a great inspiration. Does anyone have a picnic table they'd be willing to donate, or materials for building one for the site?

For more information, please contact one of the market coordinators: Marti, Ingo or Thalia (8879, 8627 or 8864).

Musicians wanted: Jen Gobby is coordinating Music for the Market again this year. Last year it was very successful and the musicians really added to the great vibe at the Saturday market. Please call her (8666) or email jengobby [at] hotmail [dot] com and she will book a Saturday or two for you and/or your band to rock out for your community (or folk out, or...whatever). All levels of musicianship and all types of music wanted!
