Conrad Schmidt at Arts Centre

Workers of the World Relax

A reminder that Conrad Schmidt, founder of the Work Less Party, instigator of World Naked Bike Ride Day, and organizer of the De-Growth conference to be held in Vancouver May 1st, is coming to Lasqueti.

On Saturday, May 15, at the Arts Centre, he will be screening his film "The Jekons Paradox" (this is a change from the last posting) and reading from his latest book, "Efficiency Shifting". His generous spirit and sense of humour help people make sense of some of the most difficult issues facing our world today.

After the presentation, Conrad will be available to discuss the relevance his ideas might have in a rural context, and how we on Lasqueti might "work less and live more."

The screening will start at 7:00 pm. For more information, call Heather at 8545.
